Aside from fighting crime, making excellent one liners, and giving the Joker new scars, Batman has the pleasure of driving the world’s most famous car, the Batmobile. However, since he lives a double life and is (spoiler alert) Bruce Wayne in real life he can’t take the Batmobile during his commute through Downtown Gotham to Wayne Enterprises. However, the caped crusader has to take a ride that’s fast and cool. No ride fits that bill better than a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne preferred a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 for his commute, while contemporary Matt Harvey prefers a Maserati, and Keaton had a liking for Cadillac Fleetwoods. Ben Affleck is the latest to dawn the mask and cape, portraying the Dark Knight in the up coming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he apparently prefers to cruise in a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
He was spotted driving the 707 horsepower beast in Los Angeles recently. He happily tweeted, “No One Does a Dodge Better than Me” after posting a pic of his ride. Even with its hefty price tag of $60,000 plus markups, the Hellcat couldn’t stay on the lot long enough for the fiscal year of 2015, with many orders canceled to make room for more 2016 models. Potential buyers will have to accept a used Hellcat on the open market, or get in line again for the 2016 models.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat is every car guy’s dream, it’s a factory hot rod in the purest sense of the word. With a 707 horsepower supercharged 6.2L Hemi engine bolted to a 6 speed Tremec manual transmission this is a car that scoffs at speed limits and begs to be pushed to the limit on an open highway. This is car designed not to be feather but to stomp on the accelerator and fly down America’s highways and byways at 199 MPH.
