The tight tolerances of the 1965-66 Mustang along with an intrusive brake master or booster give first gen owners fits when fitting a master cylinder for hydraulic clutch applications. Now, hydraulic clutch specialist American Powertrain has a purely bolt-in answer in their new HYDRAMAX system for early Mustangs.

The new system features a billet aluminum firewall mount that looks great and is perfectly contoured to achieve the correct angle for the clutch rod and a great firewall fit with or without power brakes.

Complete systems include American Powertrain’s new billet firewall mount with steel backing plate, the master cylinder with pedal rod and hardware, APT’s HYDRAMAX hydraulic release bearing, a reservoir kit, lines and fittings. Or, use your own slave with their master cylinder kit.
