Official Release:
Centerforce strives to provide top of the line products in today’s market for all performance levels. To do so, Centerforce uses patented processes and constantly tests different materials and designs to find the best combination.
The DFX series by Centerforce, the next level in single disc high-performance, is now available for 1970-1972 Dodge & Plymouth 7.0L 426-inch and 7.2L 440-inch 8 Cylinder engines. The DFX part number 01810739 (10.4-inch clutch diameter: Pressure Plate, Disc, and Alignment Tool) is a direct OE replacement with a higher holding capacity system using our DFX series disc. Other Centerforce parts for this application include: 11361739 (DFX Pressure Plate Only), and 23381810 (DFX Disc Only).
The DFX Clutch design has been developed to meet the needs of modern high performance vehicles. The DFX, or paddle/button style, disc has been through constant testing to create the best option available. By using DFX metallic friction materials, these units are capable of withstanding more heat than organic material clutches (because of the aggressive nature of the DFX disc, vehicles may experience some chatter during operation). Today’s technology has allowed for engine torque to unprecedented levels and still be daily drivers. Drivers need a clutch that can offer; positive engagement, quiet operation, light pedal effort, and high-end holding capacity. DFX offers that and more!
