Schwartz Performance Now Offer Chevy Pickup Chassis For ’48-’55

Schwartz Performance now offers owners of ’48-’55 Chevrolet pickups a new chassis that allows them to achieve the pro-touring look, with modern handling capabilities. The standard offering with a “full roller” chassis is available with a variety of performance upgrades and features enhanced durability and strength.

Schwartz Performance Inc. has introduced their new 48 to 55 first series Chevy pick-up chassis. Now you can get the pro-touring look and slot car handling. The new chassis features mandrel bent rails, mig & tig welding, narrowed rear frame rails for mini tubs, adjustable trans mount, power rack and pinion, welded on running board mounts, extensive cross bracing and will except either coil over shocks or RideTech’s shock waves. Standard with a “full roller” chassis is a full floating nine inch with 31 spline axles. Wilwood or Baer brakes are available from 12” rotors all the way up to 14” slotted. This chassis bolts on with no floor cutting or modifications. They utilize the stock body mount holes, stock bed mount holes, Radiator core support and come complete with holes for factory bumper brackets.

The front suspension features custom upper and lower control arms, spindles and steering arms all manufactured by Schwartz Performance. The upper arms have greasable ball bearings instead of bushings and the lowers have premium Teflon lined heim joints for perfect alignment the first time. Out back is our custom triangulated 4-link, it too uses premium Teflon lined heim joints for bind free performance on any street/highway or track.  Small block, big block or the newer LS series engines all fit with zero rack interference or firewall modifications. All of Schwartz Performance chassis are over 200 percent more ridged than factory frames. Prices starting at $8500.00.
