With the Fourth of July now over, the fall show and race season will soon be starting. And while many school kids dread the end of summer, we’re looking forward to it because it means that the fifth annual OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational, presented by K&N Filters and Royal Purple, is just around the corner! Once again, the OUSCI will play host to the cream of the pro-touring crop in 2012 as the highly capable SEMA Show cars compete against one another for the coveted Ultimate Street Car title, but you don’t have to take our word for it. For the second year in a row, OPTIMA Batteries is offering a limited number of spectator tickets to the event that are now on sale.

The OUSCI is the ultimate pro-touring event held every year right after the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. During the event, SEMA Show car owners compete against one another in events like the BF Goodrich Hot Lap Challenge, Ridetech Autocross Challenge and Wilwood Disc Brakes Speed Stop Challenge, as they aim for the title of Ultimate Street Car.

Last year we covered the event and this year will be even better.

OPTIMA has announced that four more sponsors have been welcomed to the event, including Royal Purple as a presenting sponsor, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) and JRI Shocks as race event sponsors, and Centerforce as an associate sponsor. LPE will be sponsoring the Design Challenge this year at the OUSCI while JRI Shocks will be sponsoring the road rally in correspondence with Detroit Speed and Engineering.

OPTIMA has also announced that lifestyle host and producer Amanda Salas will join retired pro wrestler and avid car guy Bill Goldberg to host the OUSCI TV specials, which will air on SPEED after the event.

The 2012 OUSCI will take place at Spring Mountain Motor Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada on November 3rd following the close of the 2012 SEMA Show. The Detroit Speed Engineering and JRI Shocks road rally will take place prior to the main event on the evening of November 2nd.

Attending the OUSCI is an amazing experience and a must-do for all automotive enthusiasts. So be sure to mark your calendars and buy your tickets early to reserve your spot at this ultimate pro-touring event.
