Yet again we were trolling though the interwebs looking for something in true blue muscle, neatly done and complete. We happened to find a really well built goat from those guys at the award winning shop Painthouse. Located in Cypress, Texas, the Painthouse crew specializes in restorations and customs. In the case of this 1967 Pontiac GTO, we’d say that they specialize in perfection.
We’ll give you the details on this beauty as they are published on the Painthouse website, but we’d like to know the current status and upgrades on this show-winning project. The latest update we have on the “Blew Bayou” GTO is from the Lafayette ISCA Finals in 2013 where the goat took home third place in the National Custom category. The trail seems to end there after a very successful run of show wins in late 2012 to early 2013.

Awards
In addition to the third place overall in the national custom category at the Lafayette ISCA finals in 2013, Irvin’s GTO also claimed second in the Best Custom class, while winning awards for outstanding display and shine award at the Albuquerque Supernationals in February of 2013.
The Abilene World of Wheels 2013 saw Irvin’s entry take the best in class award for the Best Custom and the outstanding display award at the end of January after claiming the class win for Outstanding Custom at the Shreveport World of Wheels in early January of 2013. The GTO also racked up awards in the Outstanding Paint and Outstanding Detail during that event.
Previous awards include best in class and outstanding paint at the Houston Autorama in 2012 along with the best in class, outstanding display and outstanding paint at the Lafayette World of Wheels in 2012.
After taking a detailed look at this instant classic, we want to see more from those guys at Painthouse. Feel free to check out the other great projects from Painthouse by visiting them at www.painthousetx.com.
