We bleed drag racing here at powerTV, so it’s only natural that we have decided to launch our newest powerTV channel – Dragzine.com. Not only will Dragzine continue to carry our top notch drag racing coverage from the NMCA, NMRA, ADRL, ORTC, and many others, but it will also cover drag racing outside of ‘door car related’ series. This will include the addition of NHRA and IHRA — if it’s fast, you will find it there.
Additionally, we are looking for people who are interested in contributing to our content for the new website. If you are interested in writing any articles or news, please contact [email protected]

Official Release
— powerTV will bring it’s popular online magazine format of online articles, video, news, and event coverage to the millions of hardcore Drag Racing enthusiasts and participants with the launch of Dragzine.com —
MURRIETA, CA — October 5, 2009 – powerTV is proud to announce the launch of new drag racing magazine Dragzine.com. Slated to go live January 2010, Dragzine.com will offer hardcore drag racing content to the over 1.1 million online enthusiasts who view videos, articles, news, and event coverage on powerTV’s four current web sites.
Dragzine.com will deliver the hard hitting news, rumors, and event coverage that hardcore drag racers crave — building on the audience powerTV has with coverage of the NHRA, ADRL, NMCA, and various Outlaw and Drag Radial events. Added to the mix will be video content, hardcore tech articles and interviews.
Since it’s inception in 2006, powerTV has broadcast over 10 million enthusiast videos and thousands of articles on Mustangs, Hot Rods, Circle Track, and LS1 vehicles through Stang TV, LSX Magazine, One Dirt, and Street Legal TV. Each features freshly written articles, online video, news, and tech.
powerTV President James Lawrence says he expects traffic to skyrocket: “We should attract half a million viewers in the first year to Dragzine.com. I think we’ve figured out a good formula for what hardcore car enthusiasts want to read and watch.” Mark Gearhart, powerTV’s Senior News Editor, is looking forward to delivering to a more hardcore racing audience: “Online enthusiasts are always clamoring for drag coverage, news, and rumors – as well as hardcore tech.”
powerTV’s online marketing partners are leaders in the industry such as COMP Cams, GM Performance, Edelbrock, Dart Heads, and Flowmaster. “powerTV has made the best in-roads into the enthusiast market by providing content to a targeted enthusiast base, while at the same time offering a platform for manufactures like Edelbrock to better communicate our products and enthusiast video,” said Jason Snyder, Vice President of Marketing for Edelbrock. “Digital magazines like powerTV’s can often offer readers quicker delivery and advertisers a higher level of response and measurement.”
“We’ve always been passionate drag racers,” added Lawrence. “There are some great forums and web sites out there already doing a nice job, and we look forward to bringing another unique perspective with Dragzine.com to the world of drag racing coverage.”
Dragzine.com will launch in January 2010.
