Whether you are into drag racing, circle track, autocross, road racing, street rodding or a muscle car enthusiasts, QA1 Motorsports is a name that you are probably familiar with. With product lines that cover just about every type of auto sport in the world, we knew that we had to drop by their booth at the 2010 PRI trade show to see what was new in the marketplace.
At the QA1 booth, we talked to Dave Goldie about some of the latest products from the suspension company. Goldie immediately took us over to the Wireless Remote Adjust System. The system allows the user to make adjustments on his adjustable shocks from a remote location (like inside the car) without having to hardwire a controller inside the vehicle. Goldie explained that you can purchase the system in either a 2 channel or 4 channel version.
According to Goldie, “this system allow the user to select from 12 levels of adjustment per channel. This means 144 combinations for the 2 channel system and 20,000 possible combinations for the 4 channel system. Anyone can dial in the ride to their application or preferences. All without leaving the car.”

The system is compatible with all QA1 single adjustable, double adjustable and drag race “R” series shocks manufactured after March, 2010. Shocks manufactured prior to that can be retrofit for this system by authorized rebuilders or at the factory.
The wireless controller is small enough that it can be kept anywhere; in the glovebox, on the sun visor, in the center console or in your pocket if you wanted. The installation couldn’t be easier. There is an air management system that can be mounting in the trunk or under the hood, and a couple of lines that go to the shocks. Simply mount the box and connect the lines then you can go out and adjust the ride as you need.
Goldie also showed us their new Mustang Struts. According to Goldie, “These new struts are available in single or double adjustable, or drag race “R” series adjustable configurations.” Available for the ’79 to present Mustangs, the options are almost endless. Coilover or non-coilover, ride height adjustable, remote ready, and all come with an improved adjustment range.
Also new this year is front coil over conversion systems for the 3rd and 4th generation F-Body Camaro. These were so impressive that we shot a whole video on these struts alone.
