Ringbrothers To Unveil A Wild Pair Of Mustangs At SEMA This Fall

spltr2The one thing we love the most about any Ringbrothers build is their unique approach to make the car different, albeit very subtly. Their builds are often over the top and include such cues as reshaped bumpers, reformed panels, and body lines changed so minutely that if nobody told you about it, you might never notice. Such was the case with the Recoil Chevelle they unveiled at SEMA in 2014.

The prior year they did the unimaginable when they brought a bright yellow Pantera, ADRNLN, to SEMA with purple trim and an LS3 that, despite the objections of purists, looked right at home in the custom build. But as Mike Ring told us, “We don’t do restorations.”

So what’s in store for us this year at SEMA? We’re glad you asked, because the dynamic duo that has been building these insane cars is going to show up with a pair of classic Mustangs that are sure to draw a crowd

spltr1SPLTR is a widebody 1965 Mustang Fastback that will have all the signature Ringbrothers touches, and like the other cars we mentioned the Mustang will be built for speed. Under the black hood will be a Ford Racing 427 with a Flowmaster exhaust system to plumb the burnt gasses to the rear.

Ringbrothers rely on Royal Purple fluids to keep SPLITR running smoothly, and just as smooth is the Ford Race Red BASF Glasurit Waterborne paint. The custom wheels, as of yet not revealed, are wrapped in Nitto tires and the Mustang is sure to be a performer.

espionage1Espionage is the other Mustang, and the unique touch to this Fastback is the all carbon fiber body residing on a custom chassis. Under the custom hood of this “Spy Green” Mustang will be a Wegner Motorsports 416 cubic inch mill sporting a Whipple supercharger. Again, Flowmaster will pull the fumes from all 959 horsepower that this mill produces.

Like SPLTR, Espionage is finished with BASF Glasurit Waterborne paint. Just like the interesting color we saw on Recoil last year, Espionage will be one of the more unique colors that we see at SEMA this fall, and we’ll be sure to bring features of both cars to you after the yearly trade show.

For those attending SEMA and wanting to get a close up view, Espionage will be unveiled at the BASF booth (#21437) on Wednesday, November 4, at about 9:00-9:30AM. SPLTR will be in the Flowmaster booth (#22351), unveiled on Tuesday, November 3, at about 10:50-11:10 AM.
