Facebook friends and fans of Royal Purple and their performance lubricants, win big! They announced three big winners for both of their SEMA contests.

The Royal Purple Show It Off at SEMA Contest prizes were, two winners as guests of Royal Purple, will have their custom cars featured in the 2011 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Nov 1 – 4. They will also the “Royal” treatment by receiving show credentials, invitations to the winner’s dinner, wearable Royal Purple swag, and brag boards for each vehicle. There were 36 vehicles entered and when the smoke cleared, there were two lucky…and deserving winners picked by Facebook voters.

Joe Cherry had a unanimous win with his “El Nomado”, 1958 Chevrolet “phantom” car/truck creation which started life as a four-door 1958 Nomad with sheetmetal from a same year two-door Biscayne. The wagon roof was removed and the long El Camino-type bed was born. It also features a chopped top, some Frenching and a 348 engine wearing triple-deuces, Powerglide transmission, and more.

Shawn Kaufman took the well-deserved second spot in the Show It Off at SEMA contest with his Plum Crazy Purple colored Dodge Challenger R/T named “Galvatron.” Shawn’s Challenger is full of custom touches themed after the evil Decepticons from the cartoons and blockbuster movie, Transformers. Visual changes include vented front fenders, shaker hood, 22” wheels, Katzkin interior with purple inserts and more!

The Maxfilm Send Me to SEMA Contest was easy to enter by filling out a short quiz about Royal Purple’s Maxfilm, a multipurpose lubricant. The winner received the “Royal” treatment with credentials for two to attend this year’s SEMA show. Out of 300 entries, Tammy Smith was the big winner and will be bringing her lucky husband Marty to SEMA!
