Would you purchase a 1971 Monte Carlo for one million dollars? What if this old 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo graced movie and television screens everywhere in one of the most popular car movie franchises ever made, The Fast and the Furious?
This particular Monte Carlo was featured in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, the third installment of the popular movie series starring Lucas Black, the man who drove this classic Monte Carlo during the film.
This 1971 Monte Carlo was built by world-renowned Hollywood movie car creator and builder, Dennis McCarthy, who was the go-to man for all of the cars that starred in the Universal Picture’s The Fast and the Furious franchise. Not only that, he has created cars for other famous feature films.
The car is going to cross the auction block at “Julian’s auction” of Beverly Hills where it will be up for bids on June 26th/27th. Also, this old muscle car is currently sitting on eBay with a heavy $1.0 million dollar price tag.
McCarthy is comparing this 1971 Monte Carlo to the household name “Eleanor”, the famous classic Shelby Ford Mustang fastback that stole hearts everywhere in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds starring Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie. One of the Ford Mustangs actually used in the movie recently fetched $1.0 million at auction.
While we aren’t sure if it is worth that much, it may be worth the hefty price tag to a The Fast and the Furious movie buff that likes classic American muscle cars.
