Chrysler has a long, rich history in the American automotive market, and the Pentastar is responsible for some of the best known packages and colors any muscle car has ever seen. From their outlandish paint jobs to their cool names, Chrysler and Dodge especially have been at the forefront of the muscle car competition with eye-catching cars and names you just can’t forget.

So it doesn’t surprise us that Dodge has announced new SRT8 packages for both the Dodge Charger and Challenger. Automobile Magazine reports that the Dodge Charger Super Bee and Challenger Yellow Jacket packages will be available next spring.

Mechanically speaking, both the Super Bee and Yellow Jacket sport the same 6.4-liter HEMI V8 producing 470 horsepower and 470 ft-lbs of torque. The Charger Super Bee SRT8 will be available in either Stinger Yellow or Pitch Black, and in addition to unique wheels and interior stitching, the Super Bee will come with nifty graphics and a cute helmeted bee logo on the front grille.

Interestingly enough though, the Super Bee will have only cloth seats and, from the looks of it, less interior bells and whistles to bog it down, making the Super Bee a median price point between the R/T and SRT8.

So what about the Yellow Jacket Challenger 392 SRT8? It will only be available in Stinger Yellow with black racing stripes. Unique wheels and yellow stitching-over-back leather help set this Challenger apart from the rest of the muscle car crowd. This Challenger looks to have as much, if not more weight and body bits than the standard SRT8, and as such may actually be heavier, making this package purely about aesthetics.
