Just when we thought humanity may have a little left in it worth appreciating, a story like this comes up to refute the notion. According to a recent item from ABC Action News in Tampa, a scoundrel recently broke into barn that had been converted into antique store and took several items, and the biggest prize included a ’72 Plymouth Satellite. While the thieves were at it they also killed the victim’s dog, Ellie Mae, a 3-1/2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Honestly, we don’t know how some people live with themselves at times.
The thieves apparently didn’t have enough storage capacity to handle all of the items they intended to steal as police discovered they had moved two motorcycles from the barn and placed them into the victim’s truck, which they also intended to steal. Police noticed that the hood on the truck was lifted when it was found, a sign that the truck would not start and the thief(s) were unable to get it running. Investigators are looking for a white male, in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about 5’9″, 140 lbs., with a thin build and short light hair. He was last seen wearing a tank top, jean shorts and blue wader boots, and driving in a dark colored truck pulling a white enclosed trailer.
