Criminal or not, David Nicoll of New Jersey, knew how to pick a ride. Nicoll, who amassed a vintage muscle car collection through blood money, had his bubble burst recently when U.S. Marshalls seized this amazing collection.
President of New Jersey’s Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services (BLS), Nicoll bribed over a dozen doctors to send blood samples to his company to test, all while billing Medicare for this bogus scheme. According to prosecutors, during 2006 to 2012 the con artist bankrolled an amazing $200 million for BLS. FBI and U.S. Attorney’s office maintains Nicoll’s criminal activity earned him $33 million in blood money over a seven year period.
Living the high rolling lifestyle, Nicoll spent the dirty money on strippers, season tickets to the New York Jets games, and on his taste for rare muscle cars. Cheating his way to the top, Nicoll acquired an unbelievable fortune.
Nicoll, however, did not spend millions of dollars of blood money on new Lamborghinis, diamonds, or rare Rolls-Royces (although his automobile collection did include a few Ferrari models). Instead, this accused criminal spent the bulk of his money on some of the finest, rarest, and most desirable muscle cars ever created.
The inventory list of the A.J. Willner auction reads like a “best of” list for the years 1967-1970. For sale are a 1967 Shelby G.T. 500, a 1969 Yenko Nova (one of only 37 produced and believed to be only one of 7 remaining) , a 1969 Yenko Camaro, a 1969 Yenko Chevelle, and a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 LS among the few going on the auction block. The highlight of the auction appears to be Nicoll’s 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird, which looks to be in immaculately restored condition, sporting its signature 426 cubic-inch Hemi V8 and only 63,000 miles on the odometer.
The sale and auction of these vintage rides will be held September 12th in Lodi, New Jersey. For more info about the rare collection and view the auction details visit A.J. Willner Auctions.
