Unique ’66 Nova II Carries a $78,888 Price Tag

All new build based on a 1966 Chevy II Nova.

Yeppers, you read the headline correctly…78,888 Somolians. That’s a lot of cheddar for a compact car from the ’60s. What is it that makes this little Nova command a Jessie J pricetag? It’s a high quality, one-of-a-kind custom. That’s why! Take a look at the quality parts and worksmanship invested in this beauty and you’ll agree, this is worth it.

According to the seller, Fusion Luxury Motors, “this is a brand new build with only test miles. Everything on the car is brand new.”

If this is true, the parts list alone is worth the asking price. The finished product shows that thousands of man-hours were spent getting this car customized with some of the best parts around. The chassis was mounted on a rotisserie for restoration, so the work was completed from the top of the vehicle to the bottom and even the underside.

All body moldings, stainless trim and gas cap were removed for a smooth look.

The press release go on to say, “All body moldings, stainless trim and gas cap were removed for a smooth look. The exterior body color is Mercedes Benz metallic sliver. It is complimented with a black vinyl top and custom black interior. The dash and interior panels are painted to match the exterior.”

The car was mini-tubed to fit the custom made Intro wheels 18-inch in the front and 20-inch in the rear.

Custom interior includes Billet Specialties steering wheel, AutoMeter gauges, IDIDIT tilt steering column and custom upholstery.

Decked out with new custom upholstery, air conditioning system with controls linked to the stock unit, custom sound system, AutoMeter gauges with custom bezels, IDIDIT tilt steering column with Billet Specialties black draft steering wheel. Highlights include a Hurst 16 shifter, Relic power windows and a Detroit Speed wiper motor.

If you liked the inside then you’ll love under the hood. The engine compartment is extremely detailed with a smoothed firewall, CPP aluminum inner fenders and billet hood hinges. Packing a rare 406ci engine with Trick Flow aluminum heads that has been built with strictly high end parts. The engine has TCI Engineering exclusive adjustable down bars and V-track pulley system.

The custom Mattson aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps the engine cool. Speaking of cool, the custom built air conditioning lines attach to inner fenders and it is equipped with a remote power steering bottle.

The engine breathes through TCI Engineering ceramic coated headers and a custom built black Magnaflow 2.5 exhaust system that the seller says “sounds amazing.” The engine is coupled to an Elite TKO-600 5-speed transmission with a hydraulic slave cylinder for easy shifting. The power hits the pavement through a Ford 9 rear end with posi-traction.

The trunk compartment is very detailed and includes the custom made gas filler and battery box with off/on switch. The car rides on a full custom suspension system consisting of a TCI M2 sub-frame with coilover shocks with power rack & pinion steering and a TCI Engineering 4-link rear with coilover shocks. It has a complete Wilwood power braking system with 13 rotors, 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in rear.
