Vaughn Gittin Jr Teases 2015 Mustang RTR Drift Build For SEMA Show

That’s a lot of angle.

We are less than a week away from the start of the biggest aftermarket trade show of the year, the 2014 SEMA show. With Ford’s timely launch of the all new 2015 Mustang, we’re seeing plenty of cool previews starting to appear on social media outlets.

We expect to see an above normal number of Mustangs on display at this year’s show, and once again Ford is taking up prime real estate with their Ford Out Front display. One of the biggest stars of that display will be Vaughn Gittin Jr.

We recently found a few posts from Gittin, and MA motorsports previewing the construction of a 2015 RTR Mustang that Gittin will most certainly be drifting next week in the Ford Out Front display at SEMA.

Inside the car is all business. Underneath the exhaust is Y'd into a single pipe.

We can’t be certain yet if this is Gittin’s ride for the 2015 Formula Drift series, but there is little doubt that the car is outfitted to provide some great driving antics Gittin style. We fully expect that at the least this will be an exhibition car that Gittin will use either in the USA, or even around the world as he tours, and wows audiences across the globe in the gap between the end of the 2014 Formula D season and the start of the 2015 season.

As far as we know these are the first and only existing solid bushings for the S550 IRS system.

We can glean a few things from these images. First off, this car will have tons of angle. We’re sure that MA has worked some magic on the front control arms/links, and possibly the knuckles to make this happen.

We also know there’ s roll cage, and plenty of electronics on board. We’re uncertain if the guys at MA took delivery of a competition bare body, or if they stripped a new Mustang GT to put this car together. What we do know, is that much of what they’re doing with the car will be a first for the S550 platform.

We’ll be checking this car out, and hopefully getting our turn to ride shotgun with the Mustang Madman himself next week at SEMA. Look for full details on this build next week.
