People can become addicted to just about anything. Wealth, power, drugs, gambling… The only addictions that we’re guilty of are horsepower and speed. Like junkies in the middle of the night, we crave it. We haven’t bee admitted to a therapy group yet, but we know we’re not alone. ProCharger, one of the biggest names in forced induction have stepped up to not help build one or two, but three 2010 Camaro SS’s for some fellow speed junkies.
The first Camaro, was built with a combined team effort of Farks Supercars and American Racing Headers, having recently installed a F-1R kit on their in-house example, that to date, has ran a best of 8.94 at 154 mph at the Super Chevy event in Maple Grove, Pennsylvania. As a result, it has become the quickest Gen-5 Camaros in the country.
Tune Time Performance has the other two Camaros to focus on. Both of which will be utilizing the stock LS blocks with the goal of being the quickest stock-based Camaros in the country. Their on-going shop project Camaro will be receiving the F-1D ProCharger kit, and they’re expecting it to run 9-second ET’s with 750hp, a race weight of over 4,000 lbs. and 14 psi. Tall order, but we think they’ll pull it off.
Their other car will also be equipped with a F-1D, and will be competing for the quickest stock-based Camaro in the country as well. The 5th-generation Camaro may be getting replaced in a couple of years, but until then it will continue be the hottest thing on the street thanks to companies like ProCharger hooking enthusiasts up.
