The Goodguys Rod & Custom events are more than meets the eye. Yes, the Goodguys grasp is country-wide and attracts show-goers from miles, if not, hundreds of miles away. That in itself should be enough to realize that Goodguys is more than a car-show.

Goodguys is a way of life. Where else can you see some of the country’s baddest builds, meet your favorite suspension or aftermarket superhero, take a hot lap on the autocross course, and grab a corn dog? Chances are you can’t unless you’re headed to Goodguys.

Recently, Goodguys announced their 2012 event schedule through a live press conference. Although you’ve probably never seen our Goodguys Three Amigo’s (shown in the video above, these three are the glue to which makes our favorite local Goodguys events so great. These events involve more than just an empty lot. There’s a ton of planning and logistics, too. These three make it look easy.

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s president Marc Meadors, PR Director John Drummond and Sponsorship Director Ed Capen sit down to launch the 2012 Goodguys event schedule and talk about the upcoming exciting elements of the 2012 season in a live broadcast. The Three Amigo’s had a ton to talk about, too. Goodguys is preparing to kick off the year at the 3rd annual  Spring Nationals, Scottsdale, Arizona in March.

What’s more, Goodguys is proud to announce a ton of new programs such as a new home and date for the East Coast Nationals. Also, Goodguys is excited to announce that their “Super Sunday’s” are here to stay with more opportunity to show your ride. If you aren’t familiar with the Goodguys “Super Sunday,” it allows American powered cars of all years, makes, and models to participate in Goodguys. This means if you’ve got a ’98 LS1 powered Z28, you’re good to go!

Goodguys is also planning 17 Super Sundays throughout the years. As Marc Meadors puts it, “All car guys want to hang out with car guys.” Goodguys “Super Sunday’s” really pushes for the younger crowds, the clubs, and the forums to enter and enjoy the festivities.

It’s a great method for driving more people to events, literally. I can personally vouch for everyone here at powerTV, we’re excited and glad to see the doors are open for all.

With some events across the country facilitating the autocross course, it’s a perfect way to get some laps in, in a safe environment. C’mon, let’s see what that car was meant to do – Drive! Better yet, the autocross is free as long as you’re a registered participant. Just head over to get your vehicle tech’d and certified at the event. It’s that easy.

The three also announced exciting news involving some high-anticipated Anniversary events. For instance, the All-American Get Together is in its 30th year with the Colorado Nationals in it’s 15th. Not stopping there, the Lonestar Nationals is prepping to celebrate it’s 20th! Goodguys has a ton of good news including a downloadable event schedule from their website.
