Hotchkis Sport Suspension’s track testing usually only happens in the spring. However, due to so many new products being produced, Hotchkis hit the track for mid-season testing just the other day. Driven by star team members, all the Hotchkis cars logged track time that not only tested the new components but allowed drivers to get better than ever.
The track testing occurred at Willow Springs and played host to not just test cars, but magazine employees doing their own tests and the crew from SPEED’s “The Car Show” filming a muscle car segment for a future episode. Hotchkis is still working on an official video of the event, but some participants created their own videos of the event, including Mike Hickman and Rob Byrd.
Hickerman drove his newly rebuilt G-10 pickup with a GM Performance Parts E-Rod crate engine, Hotchkis C10 zTVS, 4L65E transmission with paddle shifters from TCI, Rushforth wheels and Falken tires.
Byrd and his wife, Trish, brought out their matching fifth-generation Camaros. Rob’s is equipped with the Hotchkis Track Pack and BBS wheels. Trish’s Camaro convertible was used to help design the Hotchkis Camaro Total Vehicle System.
Other H-Team members that made the event included Michael Heinz with his Hotchkis-equipped Grabber Blue 5.0 Mustang, Mary and David Pozzi and Deanna Marengo testing out their Camaros newly equipped with Hotchkis 3-link systems, Carl Casanova with his ’68 Camaro and first-timers Don Gonzales and better-half Laura. Dan Weishaar with his Road Runner, Steve wall with his A-body Cuda and Julius Steuer with his Hotchkis-outfitted Superbird represented the Mopar crew at the event.
Overall, the H-team had a fantastic time out at Willow Springs. To see a complete photo gallery of the track tests and to watch for the official Hotchkis video, check out Hotchkis’ website.
