The distance from the United States to Finland is 4858 miles. A long way to fly as a passenger and an incredibly long distance to ship a car. Somehow, a flock of Mopars each braved the transcontinental flight over the pond, making their way to the Great White North of Europe and end up reuniting at a Finnish Mopar Meet. Muscle Car YouTube channel Jamboolio brings us the vid.
The Finns have good taste in E-Bodies! We tally some pretty rare old ‘Cudas and Challengers here. A Furious Fucsia 440 ‘Cuda, an Orange ’70 Challenger convertible, a yellow 1970 Pro-Touring-esque Challenger and a late model Challenger R/T with aftermarket rims and LED taillights. Additional Mopar suspects were present as well including a blown, late sixties Dart, a suede Duster, a green late sixties Charger and an early ‘70’s Charger.
These Finns seem to love their Mopars so it was interesting to see the venue they picked to congregate. The cars roll down a dirt road to what looks like a farm or trail head. Not to worry though. They trundle these Mopars down rugged paths where they dwarf the European cars and motorcycles that have joined the party. Hulking American V8’s sound even better abroad too.
We love car nuts no matter what creed or where they hail from and give a special shout out to these folks carrying the muscle car torch from continent to continent. Now can we get back to black top please and burn some rubber??
