A couple of weeks ago, YouTuber Glenn Kaufman Gave us a video of a new Sublime Hellcat Challenger backing out of the driveway and taking off. As all the gearheads sat in wonder, it had yet to be announced what kind of power the Hellcat Hemi was going to put out. Of course, that news was released just yesterday by Chrysler, LLC, and the memes and bragging rights have been all the rage; 707 horsepower is pretty insane when you think about it!
The Hellcat Hemi is reported to be the most powerful musclecar from any manufacturer, and it has the Mustang and Camaro fans scrambling for valid arguments. Some claim the GT500 will be more powerful, or that the Camaro doesn’t weigh as much, or any number of other explanations to take the Hellcat Challenger out of the limelight (or should we say Sub-lime light?).
As it turns out, the car Kaufman shared with us is in the hands of his sister-in-law, who is the Chief Engineer of the Challenger platform. Since the release of that video (with the recently updated title showing the 707 horsepower), several more have turned up on his channel of that same car, with various angles and sounds, like the video above where you can hear the exhaust rumble a little, and the supercharger whine as it sucks in massive amounts of air through the lamp opening.
We get to see through these videos, an overview of the interior, the exterior, the Hellcat Hemi, and as an added bonus a 2015 Challenger 392 Scat Pack car makes an appearance too. How cool would it be to have access to such amazing factory cars because a relative is one of the engineers? So tell us, if your relative worked on the Challenger platform, what would you do to get your hands on a Hellcat Hemi?
