We happen to be cruising through the web looking for some nice car videos when we ran across this driving video of a ’74 Nova. Nothing really noteworthy about a ’74 Nova except that it might have been one of the ugliest year body designs. What caught our eye though…this guy was from Sweden and he liked Western Automobiles so much, be started tinkering with one. His comment on this video was, “My attempt to build a Nova with good handling. Never got the money to build my 427 small block stroker engine.”
So we did a little digging. The dude goes by Jacken and he has his own blog page: Jackenhack.com. Turns out that our Swedish buddy is a serious turbo geek that has mad computer skills. The more we read about this guy, the more we liked him.
He describes himself in one of his other videos as “The middle aged drunk geezer wanting beer all the time. The beautiful woman beside me is my wife.” How could you not like that guy. He likes Western Cars, wants beer all the time and has a smoking hot wife. What’s not to like?
His actual bio on the Jackenhack blog gives us a much more detailed insight. “I’m a geezer who loves to tinker with almost everything that has anything to do with computing. Got my first computer more than 30 years ago, and been hooked ever since. Thankfully the computer field is so diverse which make it easy for me to switch to another area when I get bored,” he says.
We can overlook the plain Jane 1974 Nova and give Jacken props for digging out an American mid-seventies car in Sweden and doctoring it up a bit. We don’t know for sure, but we would bet that Jacken also likes American beer.
