For years, classic car giveaways have attracted enthusiasts of all types and when we announced early last year that My Classic Garage was planning to give away a 1970 Hemicuda to some lucky winner, we saw firsthand just how many gearheads had an interest in having their name be part of the process. But as we all know, hundreds will play while only one person ends up getting the ultimate prize. Check out the journey the car took once the winner was announced to get to its lucky new owner’s house in Washington in the video above.
Equipped with a 426 dual 4-barrel HEMI engine, four-speed manual transmission, Dana 60 Suregrip rearend with 3.54 gears, and 15-inch Ralleye wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber, the My Classic Garage Hemicuda was certainly a prize worth trying for. Decked out in classic Limelight Green with black accents, it would have made the perfect addition to anyone’s growing car collection. But when all was said and done it was Frank H. of White Salmon, Washington that got the last laugh when it was announced on December 24th, 2013 that he was the winner of this prized beast.
Having always wanted a Hemicuda, Frank has dappled in the automotive industry for some time, but it was the expense of a car like this that prevented him from ever having one of his own. But thanks to My Classic Garage, his dreams have come true and he even got front-door delivery of “new” Plymouth prize.
Congratulations goes out to Frank for winning the latest My Classic Garage’s giveaway car.
The next giveaway car from MCG has yet to be announced, but if this ‘Cuda is any indication, we have a feeling that the car for 2014 will be just as coveted as the last!
