Most of us only have to deal with the occasional door ding or fender scratch when we park our cars at the store, or parking lots in general. But imagine when you come out to see your beloved vehicle covered with unauthorized artwork, like this Viper owner did.
From what we have found on the Viper Club of America forum, when a South Florida member went out to his beloved Viper, he saw what can only be described as a sickening scene. Someone had decided to take a key or screwdriver and drew pictures and wrote words all over his Viper. Anyone who would so something like this, you would think, has a major beef with the car owner. But that doesn’t seem to be the case, and this perhaps is the work for someone who is one taco short of a combination platter.
The vandalism wasn’t limited to a scratch or two, it was an entire vehicle’s worth of paint work needing to be done. After getting estimates, his $120,000+ car received and estimate of roughly $34,000 to fix the damage that was done. There literally isn’t a panel that wasn’t violated by this wanna be artist, and amongst the graphics were odd text scribbling that didn’t seem to make much sense. The gouges were deep enough to destroy the some panels.
It’s difficult to state whether this was retaliation for a confrontation or just the by-product of excessive drug use, but either way it’s a crime against artistic creativity on more than one level. All we can say is that it takes a very little person to deface someone’s car like this, and we hope that the suspect gets caught before doing this again to another car. The car is now on it’s way to being returned to perfection, with a few ACR items being added for good measure. But it is a shame that someone would do this to another man’s car. Have you ever come out to your baby and saw that someone disrespected her like this?
