With up to 850 horsepower and a suite of performance-enhancing technologies like Launch Control, an upgraded suspension systems, and massive wheels with wheels wider than the Grand Canyon (not literally), the Shelby GT500 Super Snake is a car you don’t mess with. That is, unless you’re a yacht company used to building million-dollar boats.
Mustangs Daily reports that yacht builder Strand Craft is “floating” the idea of a Shelby GT500 Super Snake with an exterior enhancement that turns the 850 horsepower Shelby supercar into a shooting brake/station wagon.
Strand Craft has released few details, or if they plan to produce this unique-looking conversion for the Shelby GT500 Super Snake. As though the $55,000 GT500 wasn’t exclusive enough, the widebody Supersnake adds nearly $40,000 on top of the MSRP. From there we imagine the addition of this shooting brake backend will run around $5,000 to $10,000 easily.
The look is definitely dynamically unique though, and Strand Craft claims to be building a concept with an undisclosed L.A.-based builder, and it could even debut next month. In addition to the shooting brake backend, Strand Craft is also adding a real leather interior and a McIntosh audio system. Will it actually get built? Probably not…but you never know.
