Exclusive First Look At Lingenfelter’s C5 E-Force Supercharger Kit

Edelbrock’s E-Force supercharger kit for the C6 made it easy for late-model Corvette owners to add a little boost to their naturally-aspirated Y-bodies. Now, the tuning experts at Lingenfelter have taken that hardware and adapted it for the C5, turning these inexpensive Corvettes into blown street terrors.
The 4LXX automatic overdrive transmissions are a great way to “get shifty” no matter what you use your car for. In stock form they are great for mildly modified street cars, and they can be modified to take a beating from 1,000 plus horsepower engines. We talked with three top trans builders to get all the info.

We decided to put some R-E-S-P-E-C-T back into our project car, a third generation F-body Camaro, that we have dubbed Project Respect. We opted to upgrade the 700R4 stock transmission with a heavy-duty TCI Super Streetfighter 700R4 transmission package.
The innovative team at Accessible Technologies Inc., the name behind the ProCharger supercharger brand, opened their doors to the powerTV team, allowing us a virtually all-access look inside the design, manufacturing, and assembly process that goes into their self-contained supercharger systems.

Project Respect Update: The Wheels of Respect Go Round and Round

In our quest to bring some props to the oft maligned third-gen F-Body Camaros, we have begun upgrading our project car with an all new set of hoops from Weld Racing. This update includes the RT-S wheels as well as upgrades to the new tires with Toyo.
We installed the e-Boost Street into our Mustang with a minimum of muss and fuss by following the excellent directions provided by Turbosmart USA. Additionally, we previewed their more powerful E-Boost 2 boost controller.
Following months of development and numerous real-world test outings during the late winter, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels launched their all-new ET Street Radial Pro P275/60R15 tire at the Radial Revolution “Lights Out 3″ last month, creating a record-setting frenzy among the racers.
Which is the better car, a new Mustang GT or a new Camaro SS? While we’re not going to give our opinion on which one we like better, with help from host Jessica Barton, we took these cars to BBK Performance and threw the company’s most popular bolt-ons at them and ran them on the dyno after each step.
